Jeff leads the strategic business unit of RBC Trust Company (Delaware) Ltd. (RBCT) responsible for management of the American Gift Fund (AGF). AGF was founded by the predecessors of RBCT as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity in 1998. AGF offers a donor advised fund (DAF) program and is governed by an independent Board of Directors. RBCT serves as Trustee and provides certain investment management and administrative services pursuant to a service agreement.
Prior to RBCT, for 4 years Jeff ran the day-to-day operations of a national DAF provider. There he lead the organizations Asset Management Committee , designed and built an industry first onboarding platform, initiated collaboration with a FinTech startup to jointly develop a new CDFI impact-investment offering for foundations, and built software technology to execute the DAF industry’s first cloud based philanthropic raffle.
Before his time in the public charity sector, for 14 years Jeff held various roles in the investment and banking industry. He has been interviewed, quoted, and his innovative work reviewed in industry leading publications including Forbes, Generocity, GreenMoney Journal, and Take Command Health.
Jeff holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland (where he wrestled, NCAA Division 1), a graduate certificate in Integrated Direct Marketing and a M.S. in Management, from the University of Maryland, University College.
Jeff is passionate about values-based investment strategies, helping donors realize their philanthropic goals in a simplistic manner, and believes that whatever is worth doing, is worth doing well.
